Does anyone have some EASY ways to get money. Im pretty bad at farming and I keep dieing when i try to get gems for a tormented sword. Can anyone give me some tips for money making or farming(I checked the farming section and theyre all complicated builds).

Elite tomes are good for cash.

Yesterday I had 1 Necro + 1 Warr elite drop in only 4 chests (2 meh golds). If I can find buyers thats an easy 20K+

Read the Sticky on forum rules and you will see that asking about how to get money is against the rules, and HM chests is an AWFUL way to make money.

Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, you probably should have gotten weapons (something you need) instead of armor (just for show) first in a game that differentiate between the way your armor looks. Anyway, the farming section has decent farms you could probably do, or just find a green you want and farm that boss.

Why go for prestige stuff, when you have money problems. A Tormented sword is not good just because it's name is tormented or has what some people think is a good skin. You can easily get a equal good weapon for a few K. The same with your armor and shield.

I think just doing some vanquishing is profitable. You get golds, tomes and around 5k per vanq and it only takes about 45 minutes

1) Join a guild, preferably one that will encourage you not to spend all your gold and leave yourself without a weapon. Guilds that do things together benefit everyone involved, especially monetarily, since you can easily go to dungeons or elite areas of the gameworld like UW, FoW, DoA, Deep, Urgoz, and the various profitable dungeons in EoTN.

2) Don't follow the advice of the HM chest farmer above. HM chests can be nice, but they are NOT for the poor. Picks will cost you 1100g+, and it can take several before you start to see a return on your investment.

3) Those "complicated" builds you mentioned aren't that complicated once you take the time to learn them and practice them. Don't be afraid to fail several times while learning to master a farming build. The rewards come soon enough in your pocketbook.

^ great advice. and also like someone said earlier, you don't NEED fantastic weapons, or even ones that have nice skins, especially for PvE. just concentrate on building your wealth for the moment, then you will have the flexibility to invest in items that look nice.

I found raptor farming HM somewhat good for pocket cash. A inventory full of junk can be worth 4-5k if merched, if you have the patience to salvage some mods and sell them you can get a decent profit out of them. Also, don't even dream about tormented stuff until you have like 300k in your storage, getting them yourself isn't easy as well and you can see that by their price.

And, what TheodenKin said.

On top of this all, don't spend money you don't have to. Getting an elite armor set doesn't do you any good except getting a +epeen size, wich is stupid when you can't even aford the basic stuff like weapons. Get your priorities straight.

Uhh just because he doesn't need the bestest mostest awesomest skin in the game doesnt mean he shouldn't try to get what he wants. If he asks for a farming build to get money for his tormented weapon why is the first thing said if you are poor buy a crappy skinned sword that you might think is ugly but it works just as good. Ok thats my rant.

Now for farming build in a few easy steps. I will assume you are a warrior.

Step 1-Getting bone and dust: Go to the warrior farming section there is a wonderful raptor farming build that will get you tons of bones and great conches. Put measure for measure Inscriptions on the conches and salvage for dust. I get like 150 average from salvaging a gold conch with a measure for measure inscrip. The inscription will cost you about 300g. However I get a ton of them keg farming. Currently have almost 50 saved up from this past event(I know you didn't need to know that. IDC)

Step 2- Feathers:You will also need to fight the sensali birds in nm outside seitung harbor. Takes about 10 minutes for me(as an ele) and I get 70-110 feathers a run. This may not be the fastest way but who can't kill a few things in nm. I mean come on. Throw on any random axe. Something like Triple Chop/Cyclone/Splintger wep combo and it will destroy them.
Step 3- Iron. Keg farming works great but it actually uses an a/e to do it. You may want to just salvage any random junk weapons you get while farming other things to get iron. Again putting on Measure for Measure inscriptions on the gold items for a huge return in materials. Canes salvage into dust and iron. So salvaging them with again Measure for Measure inscriptions will net you alot of iron. Sorry I couldn't really think of any better way to get iron without keg farming. That is how I get all mine.

O the basis for this is selling consets. You can easily craft 25-50 a day without hardcore farming. I do it about every other week. Selling the consets for like 7k-8k is actually where you net the cash. Again not the easiest or best way to make money but any crappy character can do it. All the builds are simple take no skill and who can't kill level 12 enemies in nm.

The rant you imply - it makes perfect sense -
1. Tormented weapon = nice skin but high cost
2. Max Gold weapon = only diff to above is the look and cost

so lets see - i cant afford a torment weapon so what shud i do ?
a. i buy a max gold sword to fill its place untill i can afford torment version
Now how hard is that to understand - if you pass driving lesson and after a car do you get 1 you can afford or dream of the top range sports car ?.

To the op - your a lot better off farming for cash then using the cash to buy the gems or eventually the torment weapon. You never know but you may find a better sword in the process and be able to afford it rather than regret it when low on funds.
Check the farming section for diff builds, whats gd to farm etc and take it from there.

You can have a good green sword for less then 1k. Thats just doing 2 quests or kill some monsters. Also if I look at your post, tormented sword is not ment for you yet, as you could hardly pay your armor and shield. Also I dont even like tormented sword. Maybe you are mistaking that you think a tormented sword is a collector sword. It is, but its very expencive. Go to a different collector and take his sword, with an other skin though. Go and try look for a different sword, there are many nice swords around.
Sword skins: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Sword
Green swords: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Categ...p_unique_items
Collector weapons (swords included) http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...lector_weapons

Might suggest skai's sword. I dispite the sword but it matches well with primeval armor (which I dispite aswell). Just always remember, there are often better looking armors/weapons for less monney around the corner, just look further then your epeen.

I'm sorry if I broke the forum rules. I didn't know where I should post my question since all the other sections weren't very helpful. Also thank you for all the reply's.

Go kill stuff in HM. You can start off by vanquishing those starting areas. It is easy and should easily net you 6-10k per area.

Unless your inventory full of white/blue junk mysteriously turns into gold you'll hardly be getting more than 2k already counting with the VQ prize. There's not that much profit in VQ'ing areas for money.

Just buy a cheap green sword, can cost 1k and then do 100 blades farm (W/N) with the raptors or keg farming with Vatteirs, though it is a longer run. It will give you a lot of cash and you can then use it to buy a better sword (not tormented though). I wouldn't advise doing the DoA runs because those are VERY long to do and with a bad sword as you said, you won't have the gems until only after hours of time spent, where you would have gotten a lot of money the normal way in raptor farming. The builds aren't too hard, although, you will need to buy runes and such which cost a pretty penny (but I assume you would want to have those runes/insignias anyways)

Also, learn to save money. If you save enough you can learn to make profits from buying/selling. If every few k you get, you spend on luxuries, you really can't make anything. Buy low/sell high is about the easiest way to make money and the more you get, the more you can invest.

One essential thing to do is DO THE FREE XUNULAI TOURNAMENT HOUSE PREDICTIONS. You gain at least one key for trying and with guru threads about who to predict on you can net around 21 keys for doing nothing. Thats 84k a month! After 2-3 months of predictions, you will be able to buy a tormented sword easy.

Hope this helps =)

The easiest way to make money is to not spend money. I know, it sounds absolutely ridiculous since you are trying to make cash to spend it on a Tormented Sword (100k +26ecto is quite a bit of cash), but it works. So many players get caught up in the "gimme gimme" attitude that they have no patience to build up the necessary funds for the gear that they want. If you save up the gold that you get while running quests and missions instead of spending it, you'll start to pile up cash to bankroll future purchases.

Go to GuildWiki and check out the weapons offered by Collectors. You can find a max damage sword with whatever inscription you need (15^50 / 15^stance) that you can get by trading in 3-5 of a given collectible drop. It will take you around 15-30 minutes, depending on the drop you need, and you'll get other items to sell off while you're trying to farm up those collectibles.

This is how I outfit my characters before they've "earned their keep", so to speak. It saves tons of money, and teaches the patience needed to be a dedicated farmer (if that's your thing).

Hope it helps!

It's not how much you make but how much you spend. You had money to buy a full set of Primeval and an Emblazoned Shield. Now you can't afford a decent weapon. Who's fault is that?
